Martha Rutland is the Director of CPE at VITAS where she started this CPE program in 2000. She is a United Methodist Minister in the Florida Conference and is a certified chaplain with the Association for Professional Chaplains. She served twenty years as a parish pastor before shifted to ACPE supervision in the hospice context. She is married with twin sons and two cats. She loves this opportunity to introduce and support students in the sacred time of spiritual growth at the end of life.
